Blotting Products

Blotting products are essential tools in molecular biology, used for transferring DNA, RNA, or proteins onto a carrier medium where they can be analyzed and visualized. This category includes a variety of techniques, such as Southern blotting for DNA, Northern blotting for RNA, and Western blotting for proteins. Each type of blotting requires specific materials and equipment to facilitate the transfer from a gel to a more stable, analyzable surface, typically a membrane made of nitrocellulose or PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride).
